Tars and Case are both U.S. Marine Corps robots that are part of the Endurance Crew.  Tars is the robot that particularly there to make the crew feel better-a good companion. Tars is very sarcastic and witty and is very resourceful with being able to collect data and also being able to be a pilot. Case was in charge of operating the Endurance when all of the crew was not present. Compared to Tars he is seen as more reserved. Both Tars and Case are the heroes of the mission as they had significant roles in escaping danger and fleeing from Dr. Mann’s planet.
